  • Sabartés by Picasso by Sabartés

    • Fifty years after the death of Jaume Sabartés (Barcelona, 10 June 1881 – Paris, 13 February 1968), the founder, along with Pablo Picasso, of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, the personal archives held by the Museum have finally been made available to researchers. To mark the occasion, the Picasso Museum in Barcelona has organised an exhibition that aims to pay tribute to Jaume Sabartés, and not just as the life-long friend and confident of the 20th-century’s most decisive painter, but also due to his own personal career as a biographer, writer, translator, teacher and intellectual, politically committed to the issues of his time.

  • Pablo Picasso and the publishers Gustavo Gili: WORK AND FRIENDSHIP

    • Date November 23th, 2018 to March 31st, 2019
    • The exhibition will show for the first time the body of works making up the archive, some of which have never before been seen by the general public. The exhibition places special emphasis on the relationship between Pablo Picasso and the publishers Gustavo Gili, an affinity with Barcelona as its setting.

  • Picasso discovers Paris

    • Date September 21th, 2018 to January 20th, 2019
    • The Museu Picasso of Barcelona presents Impressionist and Symbolist pieces from the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and the Musée national Picasso-Paris.

      These works enable the public to fully appreciate the impact his first two visits to Paris had on the young Picasso.

  • Picasso's Kitchen

    • Date May 25th to September 30th, 2018
    • Exhibition «Picasso's Kitchen», until September 30th The main subject of this exhibition is the theme of food and cooking in the broadest sense. As a subject that is ever-present in Picasso’s work, in this exhibition it is considered for the first time.
