SAIER is one of the references in the city of Barcelona providing services for the newly arrived and the integration of immigrants.

The SAIER service strategy is based on a collective agreement shared with ACSAR, CITE, AMIC, the Red Cross, the Col·legi d’Advocats (the local Bar Association) and the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística (Consortium for Linguistic Standardization). The service is designed for immigrants who are searching for specific information regarding their settling-in process (accompaniment service for asylum seekers, Legal Advice, social and labour insertion programmes, language and cultural accompaniment service, etc.).

As of December 2013 the new SAIER, Service Centre for Immigrants, Emigrants and Refugees (SAIER) expands its scope also advising the public on issues related to migration and voluntary return. Thus, the services are tailored according to the presents demands of immigration and mobility flows.
