Is there a free entry day?

Yes, all Thursday afternoons from 6.00pm to 9.30pm and the first Sunday of every month all day. In addition, there are several open door days every year.

Do I need to buy an entry ticket to the Museum to go to the shop?

No, the shop as well as the entire ground floor hallway and room 0 are open-access.

Is there a car park at the Museum?

The Museum does not have its own car park. The nearest car parks are: Carrer Princesa, Passeig del Born with Plaça Comercial, Plaça de la Catedral, Avinguda Cambó and Via Laietana. See also access by public transport.

Can photos be taken in the Museum?

In the exhibition rooms you can take photographs and record videos for personal use. But you cannot use flash or tripods.

The authorization does not refer to the image of people. It is necessary to get their consent for them to be photographed or recorded.

What requisites are needed to obtain photographic reproductions and/or image reproduction rights for public circulation of the Museum collection?

Can I draw/make copies of works in the Museum?

Only notes or copies of works may be made in pencil, but never with ink, oil paints or watercolours. Notebooks may not measure over 21 x 28 cm. Easels or any other types of support are not allowed. Where there are many visitors in the rooms, security personnel may restrict this activity.

I have a Picasso. Does the Museum accredit the authenticity and value of a work by Picasso?

From the Museum we do not certify works by Picasso. To authenticate the work and to know its value you should contact the Picasso Administration in Paris.

I own a Picasso with slight damage or a small flaw. Can the Museum restore it for me?

No, the Museum restoration service only carries out precautionary conservation work and restoration of the Museum collection.

Can images and/or text on the Museu Picasso de Barcelona website be freely reproduced?

Images may not be reproduced freely as they are subject to copyright. See the legal notice. Unsigned texts may be reproduced as long as the source and URL are quoted: ‘Museu Picasso de Barcelona Web,’. The signed texts may not be reproduced without express authorization from the author and in the case of using a quotation, the name of the author as well as the museum web reference must be given.
