    • On occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Museu Picasso, Barcelona, David Douglas Duncan donated 163 b/w photographs and two colour photographs. We are now exhibiting the second half of this donation, with a selection of prints displayed together with works from our collection. In some cases the photographs are displayed alongside the original piece; in others they are compared and contrasted with pieces inspired by the same subject matter.

    • Landscapes of Barcelona presents a series of paintings and drawings of Barcelona’s seafront and urban areas from the Museu Picasso’s permanent collection.

    Post-Picasso. Contemporany Reactions

    • This exhibition examines the responses of contemporary artists to the life and work of Pablo Picasso during the forty years since his death, in which his significance for contemporary artists has been controversial. It addresses the question of whether Picasso continues to be important for contemporary art and considers the variety of ways in which artists are engaging his art.

    50 years of the Museu Picasso in Barcelona. The Exhibitions

    • During the 50-years long history of the museum, seventy-nine temporary exhibitions have been organized, designed to promote the oeuvre of Picasso and of the artists with whom he came into contact.

      50 Years of the Museu Picasso in Barcelona. The Exhibitions is a journey through these shows and, by extension, through Picasso’s prolific career, his referents and the various contemporary artists whose works have also been displayed in our galleries.
