Accessibility to this Website
The Museu Picasso website is part of the city website, bcn.cat, and is committed to developing a web page without any visual or technological obstacles, so that it is accessible for the greatest number of users possible.
To achieve this goal, the bcn website applies the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) standard adopted by the European Union with the aim of Barcelona City Council websites complying with AA-level accessibility guidelines. The main aim of the guidelines is to direct website design and programming so that the content may easily be converted into other formats, be understandable and able to be browsed.
Applying these standards, all those who have difficulty in using a website, including people suffering from certain disabilities, may access the contents successfully. It is for this reason that when there are contents with high interactivity levels, Flash programming or others requiring visual recreation suitable for the material held in the Museum, there will be an alternative HTML version which is more accessible, although not as visually elaborate, containing the same information and content thoroughness.
