Ignacio Uriarte

(Un)productive collective gesture in drawing and sculpture

Love and hate. Monochromatic emotional drawing.

Catharsis collective drawing in red and blue. What do you like? What do you hate? Write it down on large pieces of paper and let your emotions go, and those of the others, to construct monochromatic drawings that contain a collective sense.

Ignacio Uriarte
The work of Ignacio Uriarte deals with the everyday routines of office work, focusing on the main ingredients: Time and repetition. Using tools and procedures of an administrative employee, turning small productive and non-productive gestures such as scribbling and folding a piece of paper into systematic drawings, installations, animations, sounding pieces and photographic series.

His work has been the object of individual exhibitions and he has participated in different national and international entities.
