Race Rules

  1. La Cursa Cursa dels Nassos - Saint Silvester of Barcelona - Ibercaja Gran Prix will be held on Thursday, December 31st, 2009. The start will be at 5:30 PM on Selva de Mar Street.
  2. The race is open to all those interested in participating. The minimum age for participation is 16 years old.
  3. The length of the race is 10 kilometres, and the route has been recognized by the RFEA (Real Federación Española de Atletismo, the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation).
  4. All runners must follow the designated route, which will be duly signed and marked at each kilometre. There will be a water station at kilometre 5.
  5. The race will be closed an hour and a half after starting, at 7 PM.
  6. To participate it is obligatory to run with a timing chip. If you already have a yellow chip, you must indicate its code on the registration form. In giving results by separate categories, the real time will be taken into account. However, in the open male and female categories, the factor to be taken into account is order of finish.
  7. All participants will allow their name, surname/s, sex and year of birth to appear in the public list of registered participants, along with their personal results, provided they finish the race according to the established rules.
  8. Participation in the event and all corresponding risks are the responsibility of each participant in the race. The organization declines any and all responsibility for injury that could occur to participants during the race, whether done by themselves or to third parties.
  9. Once registered, it will not be possible to return the registration fee if inability to participate in the race is due to causes beyond the control of the organization.
  10. Registration will close at a maximum of 9,000 participants.
  11. Registration and participation in this race involves the full acceptance of these rules and all long distance running race rules as established by the Catalan Athletics Federation, FCA. The organization will have the final say regarding any unexpected event or situation related to the race itself.
