Safety inside urban tunnels
If your vehicle has caught fire
If possible, try to prevent the vehicle from stopping inside the tunnel.
If you cannot avoid stopping inside the tunnel, pull over to one side.
Switch off your engine, leave the key in the ignition and abandon the vehicle.
If another vehicle has caught fire
Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.
Keep the emergency lane clear for emergency vehicles to reach the scene.

If there is heavy smoke, remain calm.
Walk to the emergency exits or the entrance to the tunnel.
Call for assistance by using an SOS telephone or a mobile telephone.
