Barcelona en postguerra (1939-1945)

On 26 January 1939 Barcelona was occupied by Franco’s troop.

Seventy-five years have passed since that tragic, violent episode, though there are many documents from the period still preserved in Barcelona’s Municipal Archives which are now coming to light. “Post-war Barcelona (1939-1945)”, a project brought about in collaboration with the Carles Pi i Sunyer Foundation, reflects on the changes that Catalan city underwent, through five exhibitions, a book presentation and a series of complementary activities to relive a historic period.
