For a time, they were Rock's Great Mystery: an intriguing name, a smoke-laden group photo, three barely-decipherable songs and zero chances of an interview, but now we know what they look like and the meaning of their name (an acronym of World Unite, Lucifer Youth Foundation). Yet the mystery remains: we could define the group from Manchester as a mix of the epic emotion of Arcade Fire, the apocalyptic aura of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and the tribal percussion Animal Collective, but it wouldn't be enough: they resist comparison.
