The expression “rara avis” was invented to describe artists like Antonio Luque, one of the most personal composers of home-grown pop; a friend of the word, an enemy of the obvious. He has recently become a little more transparent, but just as unique: albums such as El mundo según (2006), Ronroneando (2008) and the recent Presidente (2011) reveal him purifying his style, getting it completely right and really hitting home. He's appearing at BAM on top form, with his most powerful (and most stable) band to date.
