Besides being one of the great assets of Dominican literature, Rita Indiana Hernández is the leader of an infectious music project that brings merengue up to date with latest-generation electronic rhythms. On her El juidero album, Rita launches her almost rap and highly aware flow on rhythm fusions that translate the Latin American tradition into a universe of futuristic sounds in a proposal that has taken European clubs by storm. Rita Indiana is appearing in the BAM thanks to the CCCB and as part of the “BCNmp7. Music in Process” season.
