The noisy electronic, yet pop sound of Fuck Buttons seems to be the main inspiration for a clutch of new Catalan bands, such as The Suicide of Western Culture and the promising Lasers. A synthetic sound and an organic body of bass and drums join forces to create emotional odysseys with a touch of the science fiction soundtrack. Following the hugely successful Lasers EP (2010), the group are finally presenting their début album with hits such as “Moonfire”, a little along the lines of Delorean.
