With their first album, I les sargantanes al sol (2009), the folk-pop group led by Joan Pons made a huge name for themselves with their light-hearted take on traditional children's songs. Rightly so, this was considered one of the albums of the year. The continuation of it, Vol i dol (2010), is more of a melancholic flip side to this: Pons develops his folk and dark side in songs about memory and death. Songs, despite everything, that are optimistic and see death as part of life. Far-reaching reflection and introspection.
