Barcelona musician (and illustrator) Albert Aromir is not interested in perfection but in the evasive beauty that can emerge from fragility. His vision of folk music absorbs everyday noise, utilises happy accidents and moves stealthily between the sparks of mystery. On his second album, El fum blanc (2011), he uses choirs (including children's choirs) and wind arrangements as never before. His music has also taken huge strides, not only in terms of its sound but also in its lyrics, which fuse reality with fantasy, truth with fable.
