The fusion of Astrud with the Col•lectiu Brossa (extended version of the Brossa String Quartet) is not mere curiosity, but a brilliant addition to the growing trend in the marriage between pop and classical music. Instruments such as the accordion, cello, hurdy-gurdy and violin redefine rather than adorn the top songs by this unusual Barcelona duo, who (luckily for all of us) are still eager to play with our expectations.
