The sextet fronted by Ferran Palau and Louise Sansom scales new heights with Hannah (2011), the continuation of the delightful Himalaya (2009). After touring with Will Johnson (Centro-matic, South Sant Gabriel) last summer, the band seems to have grown in confidence, setting themselves new and even greater challenges and meeting them. Their latest songs (which defy description and are highly emotional) look beyond folk music suggesting an oceanic and profound pop sound, with string and new rhythm arrangements.
